Team Fox Nashville

established A fundraising group to support parkinson’s research

In 2012, my family faced the challenging news of my Dad's early-onset Parkinson's diagnosis. This personal experience sparked a simple desire to contribute in some way to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease. I decided to establish the Nashville chapter of The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF), assuming a leadership role in fostering community engagement and fundraising efforts to find a cure.

I created and maintained the Team Fox Nashville website, managed various social media channels, and meticulously crafted a distinctive branding and fundraising approach for our chapter. Additionally, I implemented the leadership framework of the chapter, prepared a comprehensive strategic roadmap, and established ambitious fundraising objectives.

My position entailed acting as the official liaison between the local MJFF chapter and external stakeholders, where I fostered connections with sponsors and oversaw outreach to potential members. With my established board of directors, I conceptualized and executed pivotal fundraising events, with 'Concert for a Cure' being a particularly special moment for our chapter, as it managed to raise over $25,000 for Parkinson's research.

Today, the Nashville chapter of The Michael J. Fox Foundation persists in its mission to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's research.
