From Pitch to Post: The beginnings of my pr journey


My time at J PR was an enriching experience that encompassed public relations, social media, and professional growth. I played a multifaceted role, encompassing tasks such as trend analysis, pitch development, and the creation of vital press materials, including fact sheets, media lists, press releases, newsletters, and bios/backgrounders. I actively participated in brainstorming sessions, shaping compelling story angles and partnerships, while also contributing to data input for weekly reporting and client updates. My grasp of industry-standard practices deepened as I learned about the fundamentals of public relations in the travel and hospitality industry.

I honed in on influencer analysis and ensured content calendar needs were met through meticulous research and imagery requests. Managing and archiving digital content for clients streamlined our processes, and my involvement in sourcing user-generated content during community management enhanced the authenticity of various campaigns.

My experience at JPR fostered my professional growth at the beginning of my marketing career by instilling time management techniques, granting me front-row access to PR and social strategy, and enabling me to engage with industry leaders in an award-winning company culture. I developed the ability to collaborate and network effectively with teams and professionals while building a robust portfolio and perfecting my communication skills for both industry-specific and internal interactions.
